Anonymous Tesco Donation – Food Donation

14th December 2018

On Thursday 29th November Sylvia (a Wednesday volunteer) was asked by a member of her Pilates class which items the foodbank were short of – she mentioned milk and milky puddings.

Members of Rochdale Foodbank were attending the store that day to collect public donations.

Sylvia then said…

“At 12.30 she popped into Tesco asking me to help carry her donation. When I picked up a basket she said that the basket may not be large enough.

Her car boot was full of the ‘goodies’ and it took 3 of us to manoeuvre the trolley to the donation pile.

She doesn’t want to be named and didn’t want to be on the photo – but it was such a generous donation.”

Pictured with the very generous donation are Bill and Walter (Tuesday and Wednesday team respectively)

To whoever this very kind generous lady is, Rochdale Foodbank would like to thank you for your overwhelming generosity which will help the people of Rochdale – who at this time of year rely on us to help them with their food needs.
